Car-Tunes owner Bill Sant never intended to be in the used car business. He really wanted to pursue a career as an accountant and computer programmer.Fate had different plans for Bill and he continued to find himself being drawn into the used car industry. After some success, he found out that selling used cars was much more lucrative than the other things he had tried. Sant worked for Car-tunes for five years and learned a great deal about how a used car operation should function. So when his boss decided to retire, Bill made a decision to become a used car dealer and he proceeded to buy the existing corporation. Never once has that decision been questioned
The name CAR-TUNES had already become an established name and Bill decided to keep the name. When asked how the name came about he tells of the partners that went into business together. One of the partners wanted to sell used cars and the other partner was more mechanically inclined and wanted to do tune-ups. So they combined their talents and the description of what they were doing and came up with the name of the business, Car-tunes. Sant has stopped doing tune-ups and now concentrates strictly on providing his customers with good, dependable used cars. Most of his customers are from repeats and referrals. Attention is given to customer satisfaction and as a result, the average monthly sales are very steady and the customer complaints are at a minimum.
